Our Community Ministry: Origin of the Mental Health Ministry Grant Program

Care Republic Inc. has extended its focus and commitment to empowering Faith-Based Community and it’s congregations, mid councils and seminaries to address individuals faced with issues surrounding Substance Use Disorders and Mental Illness. For millions of individuals throughout the world, they turn to their Faith Based Organizations for help and very often our Bishops, Pastors, Reverends Ministers, Imams and the host of religious and clergy staff are tasked with the challenges of addressing these issues. Care Republic has developed a training program to provide Faith Based Organizations with the resources, knowledge and training to provide the appropriate direction and guidance sought by their congregation.

Purpose of the Mental Health Ministry Program
This program  was established to help congregations, mid councils and seminaries with the tools,, resources and training to be able to initiate and advance mental health ministries that educate, equip and empower Faith-Based Organizations to reach out and aid those individuals in crisis, and those living with mental health conditions and their loved ones:

Care Republic’s Mental Health Ministry Program Goals surround three basic principles of intent:

  • To expand mental health awareness, understanding of mental health issues and advocacy for mental health services.
  • To eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness, especially serious mental illnesses.
  • To become more welcoming, inclusive and supportive faith communities for people living with mental health conditions.
